"And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved."

Fianarantsoa is fantastic!

Hey great to hear from everyone again, everyone seems to have had a great week so far which is fantastic. Now we had a great week as well and I can't wait to tell you all,

Probably the people that I want to talk about the most today would be Jerry and his family, starting with the dad and mom down; Dede, Chantalle, Salohy(sister), Sabrianoska(?)(sister), and Jerry himself. Jerry has been learning for a long time already and now we have begun to meet with his family. This past week we met with the sisters, the mom, and Jerry and began a small lesson on the Restoration and we really wanted to focus on Joseph Smith that lesson.

The lesson goes great and when we get to the portion on Joseph Smith is when Dede came in. We decided at that point to just continue on and let him make his decision on what he heard. They all listen carefully and pretty much ask only one question, "how can we know that this is true?". Jerry already had a Book of Mormon with him so we showed it to them saying "this is how you can if all of this is true, God created this book for that purpose and we know that it is true, as we have tried it". (Elder Nelson's mom here: For those interested in answering that question for themselves, Moroni 10:4-5 in the Book of Mormon is a great place to start.) The Spirit was very strong in that lesson and they still had plenty of questions about the book but they understood at that point that all of their questions would be answered over time but the Book of Mormon was the most important thing for them at that time.

Saturday we had a church activity at our Branch Presidents house which was very fun, we played a game at the end where everyone forms a circle and the one who leads says "a name that begins with (insert letter)" and everyone must say a name else they have to get up and dance  way funny. But after that we helped the Branch President clean up and we had a little lesson with him and his family.

Our lesson was on keeping the 10 Commandments and I thought that it would be good to do a little game to help us all remember what the commandments were. So I made ten small pieces of paper, each one had a commandment on the inside with a number on the outside, and everyone would have to say the commandment that they had. Just a fun little game but everyone enjoyed it then Elder Schnoor and I taught a bit and bore testimony on the importance of the commandments and why we are to follow them.

And I would just like to say that it truly is important for us to follow all of Gods commandments. If we do obey all that God would have us do then  he "doth immediatly bless [us]" and that is so true. There is a definet difference between one who keeps the commandments and one that doesn't, there is a light in them almost and seeing that come into a person brings such a great joy to a missionary.

Thanks for reading this everyone (don't know why you are, its summer after all) but I would like to wish you all a great week, see y'all next time!
Elder Nelson

Elder Nelson's Mom again: In case you were wondering about the locusts from a couple of weeks ago, here's what he had to say about them: "...the locust were actually quiet delicious, I went for seconds and thirds."

Alain (you saw him during skype)

Jean de Diex but everyone calls him Dede

Elder Schnoor is just to Bestileo

Church activity at the Branch Presidents house (if you look closely you can see that it had been raining, our hair is very wet)
